Description
The Goldfish Kuniyoshi series is an anthropomorphic ukiyo-e that anthropomorphizes underwater creatures, including goldfish, and is a so-called caricature that Kuniyoshi excels at. At the time of the tray, on the street corner of Edo, girls were seen holding hands and singing side by side. Nursery rhymes, called Bonbon or Bon Bon, were a summer tradition. Children’s goldfishes drawn by Kuniyoshi also open their large mouths and hold hands and sing with them.
